Ingredients

Method
- 1Heat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- 2Peel and dice the sweet potato, then microwave or steam it until very soft; mash until mostly smooth.
- 3Cook the apple in butter with brown sugar, sage, cinnamon, and salt until just tender, then stir into the sweet potato.
- 4Roll out the pie dough and cut into 8 equal rounds or squares.
- 5Place filling on half of the dough pieces, brush edges with water, and seal with the remaining pieces using a fork.
