25 min 4 Easy

Ingredients

  • bread flour240 g
  • instant yeast1 tsp
  • warm milk150 ml
  • honey1 tbsp
  • olive oil1 tbsp
  • fine salt3/4 tsp
  • crumbled feta90 g
  • chopped dill2 tbsp
  • chopped parsley2 tbsp
  • melted butter30 g
  • sesame seeds1 tbsp

Method

  1. 1Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a small baking dish or round cake pan with parchment.
  2. 2Stir warm milk, honey, and yeast together; let stand 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. 3Add bread flour, salt, and olive oil, then mix into a soft dough and knead briefly until smooth.
  4. 4Divide the dough into 8 pieces, flatten each piece, and tuck feta plus a pinch of herbs into the center before sealing.
  5. 5Arrange the stuffed dough pieces snugly in the pan, brush with a little melted butter, and let rest 15 minutes.
  6. 6Bake 18 to 22 minutes until puffed and golden.
  7. 7Brush with remaining butter, sprinkle with sesame seeds and the rest of the herbs, and serve warm.

Tips

  • Seal the buns well so the feta stays hidden and melts into pockets instead of leaking out.
  • For extra aroma, rub the herbs into the butter before brushing.
