- sugar2/3 cup
- baking powder1 1/2 teaspoons

- plain yogurt1/3 cup
- vanilla extract1 teaspoon
Method
- 1Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease 4 small ramekins or a muffin tin.
- 2Whisk the flour, black sesame, sugar, baking powder, salt, and orange zest together.
- 3In another bowl, whisk the orange juice, olive oil, egg, yogurt, and vanilla until smooth.
- 4Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients just until no dry streaks remain.
- 5Divide the batter between the prepared molds and tap the pan gently to settle it.
- 6Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until the tops spring back and the centers are just set.
- 7Cool for 5 minutes before unmolding and serving warm or at room temperature.
Tips
- Do not overmix; the sesame can make the batter seem darker than it is, so stop as soon as it comes together.
- A tiny pinch of extra orange zest on top after baking adds a fresh finish.
