Skillet Orange-Sesame Chicken with Tender Broccoli

Ingredients
- boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces1 1/2 pounds
- broccoli florets4 cups
- orange juice1/2 cup
- soy sauce3 tablespoons
- honey2 tablespoons
- rice vinegar1 tablespoon
- garlic, minced2 cloves
- fresh ginger, grated1 teaspoon
- cornstarch1 tablespoon
- sesame oil1 teaspoon
- neutral oil1 tablespoon
- sesame seeds1 tablespoon
Method
- 1Whisk orange juice, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch in a small bowl.
- 2Heat the neutral oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes.
- 3Add the broccoli and 2 tablespoons water, then cover and steam for 3 minutes.
- 4Pour in the sauce and toss everything until glossy and thickened, about 2 minutes.
- 5Finish with sesame oil and sesame seeds.
- 6Serve over rice or noodles if you like.
Tips
- Cut the chicken into similar-size pieces so it cooks evenly.
- If your orange is very sweet, add a splash more vinegar for balance.
- The sauce thickens quickly, so keep tossing once it goes in.
